On Sunday, 18 October 2026, it’s time for Leuven Legacy Gravel, the first official qualifying race for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships in France and the grand finale of the Bolero Gravel Series.
Following the unforgettable Gravel World Championships in Leuven in 2024, Leuven Legacy Gravel builds on that unique cycling heritage while also looking firmly to the future.
This race marks the very first opportunity to qualify for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships, which will take place in the stunning Haute-Savoie region. Leuven Legacy Gravel offers the perfect opportunity to secure your spot early for an international top event close to home and to test yourself against the very best gravel riders.
Expect a varied course featuring rolling landscapes, punchy climbs and iconic gravel sections that follow each other in quick succession. Leuven Legacy Gravel guides you through the heart of the National Park Brabantse Wouden with a finish at the Philipssite in Leuven. Ride gravel in a region that gained global cycling fame with the UCI Road World Championships in 2021 and the UCI Gravel World Championships in 2024.
The official qualifying distance for elite men and women, men under 60 and women under 50 is 132 km with approximately 880 metres of elevation gain. Men aged 60+ and women aged 50+ ride a distance of 86 km with approximately 560 metres of elevation gain.
