You will find an overview of all access roads and car parks here a couple of weeks before the event.

After your online registration, you will receive a confirmation email. A few days before the event, you will receive another email with your official race number.

Upon presenting your race number, you can pick up your frame plate and race number either on the day of the event or the day before at the registration desks.

The registration desks will be open at:

  • Saturday, October 17 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM
  • Sunday, October 18 from 7:30AM until 9:00AM


Below, you’ll find an overview of the start times per category. A start box will be designated for each category. The start signal for the first category will be given at 9:30 AM, followed by the other categories at intervals of a few minutes.

A few days before the event, you will receive an email with all the practical information.

UCI Gravel World Chapionships 2027

The top 25% in each category will qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships. This 25% is calculated on the actual number of starters, not on the number of riders entered. The results are ranked on the basis of the time ridden.

To be eligible for qualification, you must complete the official qualifying distance assigned to your age category:

  • Men 60+ and women 50+ = 86 km
  • Elite men/women, men aged 19–59, and women aged 19–49 = 132 km

Recreational participation

Of course, you can also take part in Leuven Legacy Gravel on a recreational basis. However, you will always start in the start box assigned to your age category.

In addition to an impressive route, you can also expect an extensive participation package:

  • Extensive refreshment stations with technical sports nutrition, isotonic sports drinks, water, a wide range of cookies, snacks, and fruit*
  • Seatpost sticker with timing chip + frame plate
  • Technical assistance at the start/finish and at each supply station
  • Breakdown service along the course
  • Medical service at the start/finish and along the way
  • We provide accident insurance for bodily injury (no helmet = not insured)
  • Marked routes and perfect signposting
  • A delicious coffee when picking up your race number (only on event day)
  • Guarded bicycle sheds
  • Changing room & showers
  • A professional bike wash by Kärcher
  • A very enjoyable après-bike in a lounge atmosphere with food/drinks, DJ and more

The top three in each category will be invited to the podium ceremonies. The timing of the podium ceremonies for Leuven Legacy Gravel can be found below. There will be a designated waiting area at the finish line where all podium winners can prepare for the ceremony.

It is possible to sell or take over a registration, but this must be done before Monday October 12, 2026.

It is important to contact us in advance via info@golazo.com so we can transfer the registration correctly and completely.

From October 12 onwards, no more transfers will be accepted, including on site.

The organiser advises everyone not to make any strenuous efforts for which they are not physically prepared. Make sensible decisions about the pace you want to impose on your body. Those who aim to train or compete at high intensity should have a check-up by a (sports) doctor every year.

The submission of medical certificates is not mandatory. It is up to the sportsman himself to decide how to deal with the information he receives during a medical examination. The organiser does not bear any responsibility in this respect.
